Silver Cinema Review

Editorial policy

Silver Cinema Review aims to make clear, careful writing about cinema. We separate factual statements from interpretation, explain uncertainty where it matters and correct errors openly.

Accuracy and context

We check names, dates, credits, quotations and historical claims against dependable material before publication. When a point is disputed or a source leaves room for doubt, we say so rather than turning an uncertain account into a settled fact. Interpretations are presented as readings, not as proof of what every viewer must see.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. Any sponsored article, paid placement or other partner material is clearly labelled as such, and partnership arrangements do not determine the conclusions of editorial pieces. We do not present promotional copy as independent criticism.

Corrections and illustrations

If you spot a factual error, contact us with the article and the passage in question. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers where appropriate. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified so readers can distinguish illustrative imagery from film stills or documentary photographs.

Our way of looking

A film rewards the time we give it

We look at cinema with curiosity rather than a checklist, making room for context, craft and the details a second viewing can bring forward.
